General terms and conditions

Lanzarote Holiday Villas is acting as a letting agent for private property owners and advertisers, and it is in our and in the interest of all parties concerned that the following terms and conditions are accepted as a binding agreement. The company cannot be held responsible for any alteration of accommodation, cancellation or any error made by the owners or their agents. Lanzarote Holiday Villas reserves the right to alter, modify or cancel any holiday in certain instances, we will refuse at all times to accept " singles parties. " We shall not be liable for any loss or damage of luggage, personal injury, or death. We have personally inspected all properties and our photos and descriptions give our true impressions. It is in our interest that you enjoy the best possible holiday, through us. We want you to book with us time and time again, so please do take time to read the description of your chosen holiday home. Please remember however, our world does not stand still: regular maintenance must be carried out, pools will be closed for cleaning and gardens need to be cared for.

  1. Acceptance of Booking.
    Your reservation is only binding once you have received our written confirmation, and we have received your payment of our booking fee.
  2. Payment of Deposit.
    When making a reservation we require your completed booking form as acceptance of our terms and conditions, and the payment of a booking fee of €70 aprox. £50.00 per person per week. The same amount also applies as a deposit for your hire car, if that was booked through us. The balance of your account must be paid not later than eight weeks before your arrival date. If payment is not received by the due date we may consider your booking cancelled, and we will hold you liable for cancellation charges. The cost is dependent on our administration charges and the financial loss to the owner of the property.
  3. Last Minute Bookings.
    In special circumstances, when last minute bookings are taken, the full amount of your total bill is due on the day of booking.
  4. Changing your Booking.
    We will always do our best to help you with any necessary change of plans. However any alteration after your booking has been confirmed, will incur administration charges of £25.00 per person. In case of a reduction in the number of your party, we regret the booking fee for that person cannot be refunded. Any changes that fall within the eight-week period of your date of arrival, and where we are unable to accommodate those changes, will be consider as having been cancelled by you.
  5. Cancellation of Booking.
    We can only accept a cancellation from the person who signed the booking form, and this has to be in writing. Please check your Travel Insurance Policy for their cancellation details; you may be able to re-claim your incurred costs. Regrettably we will not be able to reimburse any of your money. Cancelling before the eight weeks period, will only incur the loss of your booking fees, and the remainder of your monies will be refunded.
  6. Alterations.
    We reserve the right that if for any reason out of our control, the accommodation booked by you cannot be provided, or the requested car is not available at the time, we will use all reasonable effort to offer the best possible alternatives, unless you wish us to make a complete refund to you. The Company's liability can in no circumstance exceed the total amount paid by you to the Company.
  7. Compensation.
    If cancellation or change by the Company is brought about by Force Majeure, war, threat of war, riots, civil commotion, strikes, disaster, terrorist activities, technical problems with transportation, airport closure, alteration or cancellation of scheduled services, or any other event outside the control of the Company, compensation of any kind will not be payable. In all such instances we advise you to contact your holiday insurance.
  8. In the first instance all booking fees and deposits can be paid with your credit, or debit card via our Website by adding 3% of the total to cover our additional administration costs. Or by cheque, made payable to: LanzaroteHolidayVillas.com and paid to: NATWEST Offshore Ltd. Jersey Branch, PO Box 11, 16 Library Place, St. Helier, Jersey JE4 8NH. Bank Code: 60-12-03 Account No. 46006974. For the remainder of your total bill, please follow the accounts instruction given to you by the respective villa / apartment owners when receiving your reservation confirmation.
  9. Service & Price Guarantees.
    As part of our commitment to quality customer service, we guarantee there will be no surcharge to any of our accommodations or hired cars. You will always pay what has been confirmed to you in writing, even if charges had to be increased after your time of booking and before your arrival. This includes all taxes, which may be levied by the local authorities. However, we do reserve the right to vary our prices at any time without notice, it is therefore advisable to book well in advance in order to secure the best possible deal. Failure of main services at our properties, such as water, electricity, or disturbance in the vicinity can happen from time to time and every effort will be made to rectify this, if it is within our control.
  10. Thefts, Loss, or Damage.
    All our properties are in safe residential areas, however should you be experiencing a theft, loss, or damage to any of your personal property you are advised to inform the local police immediately. Please request a written report, which should enable you to claim against your travel insurance. All our properties offer small safes for your travel documents and small amounts of cash. We cannot be held responsible if you travel with expensive jewellery or large amounts of cash. You will be charged for damages caused by you to any of our properties, their furniture, or fittings, and in severe cases the owner will charge compensation for loss of business. In such circumstances, the Company's agent will request payment on site.
  11. Complaints Procedure.
    In the unlikely event that you have reason to complain about any aspect of our properties or its services, the complaint should in the first instance be directed immediately to the property management / agent in Lanzarote. You will find the telephone number or address on our web site. This will enable us to put things right quickly. If the matter remains unresolved to your satisfaction, we ask you to write to us within seven days of your departure, giving us full details of your experience. If the above procedure is not followed, liability will not be accepted. In the event of any legal dispute or claims for compensation, these will be dealt with under Spanish law.
